Canvas is an online electronic platform used by most of our instructors. Each course will have a dedicated page on Canvas, where you will find course syllabi, and submit assignments. Instructors will often upload their slide presentations ahead of time so you can access them on Canvas.
Google Classroom is connected to your UCI Google Suite*. Some of your instructors will use Google Classroom. It functions much like Canvas in that you fill find course syllabi and submit assignments.
You will use Google Classroom for the year-long seminar course with Susan Toma-Berge.
You will also use Google Classroom for your fieldwork and student teaching observations.
GoReact is a video analysis tool. You will be able to capture videos on your phone, then upload them to GoReact. Once uploaded, you will then be able to tag your video then share it with your instructors. Many instructors will require a video of your teaching and they will ask you to submit on GoReact.
You will also use GoReact to submit video observations as part of your fieldwork and student teaching observations.
*As a UCI student, you have access to the suite of Google tools such as docs, sheets, slides and sites. You can access your UCI Google Suite (once you have your UCI email) by going to the Google homepage, and log in using your UCI log in.
