The tile is the head of the cylinder tile, which is one of the architectural components in ancient China. Because it has the effect of shielding the eaves and preventing the slide of tiles, it is called "dang", which means hold. It has both practical functions and decorative function. The ancients decorated their faces with various animal and plant patterns, patterns and characters.
This dragon tile Dang’s outer edge is wide and thick, the center has a nail shaped round button, the dragon eyes are round and open, the mouth is open angrily, the wings are fluttering, the dragon tail is raised, and the legs are pedaled hard. The whole tile composition is well-balanced,and the design is ingenious and novel.
Azure Dragon (Qinglong): The guardian of the East, this majestic dragon symbolizes the awakening of nature in spring. It represents the virtues of leadership and benevolence, encouraging growth and renewal. The Azure Dragon is also seen as a bringer of rain, vital for agriculture and prosperity in ancient China.
