Dorothy Li
"The little girl just could not sleep because her thoughts were way too deep, her mind had gone out for a stroll and fallen down the rabbit hole."
—Lewis Caroll, Alice in Wonderland
Welcome to my HumCore 2021-2022: Animals, People and Power website!
Did a group costume for Halloween (as characters from Winnie-the-Pooh) and I dressed up as Eeyore!
Hello! My name is Dorothy Li and I'm a first year majoring in Psychological Science at the University of California, Irvine. Though I really enjoy music and have invested like a decade of my life in band as a clarinet player, I plan to pursue a legal career, specifically in family law, in the future. Or perhaps go into something that deals with music and psychology, like in memory and cognition. Whatever the future has planned for me, I am up for the challenge! Besides music, I like to spend my free time playing online games with my friends, bingeing YouTube, or drawing. I love puzzles as well, and enjoy a good escape room now and then. Something interesting about me is that I enjoy books and movies with bittersweet endings. I'm not pessimistic, but it makes the story seem more realistic and personal than just a happily ever after where everything works out perfectly (I don't mind a good happy ending though). I'm excited to see what awaits me this year for HumCore, and hopefully my growth and journey will be tracked and seen through this website!
