Artists Xochitl Flores and German Corales created the poster for the 51st "commemoration" of Chicano Park. Still in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, this was the second year that an offical celebration was not held at the park. On the poster it reads "Healing our Past, Educating the Present, Leading into the Future", again referring to the generational impact of the park. In addition, a monarch butterfly- a symbol associated with DACA- is hanging upside down, as if just hatched off of a depiction of Quetzalcoatl. 

THE CHICANO PARK STEERING COMMITTEE COLLABORATED WITH THE COMMUNITY TO HOST A VIRTUAL CHICANO PARK DAY CELEBRATION:

"Chicano Park Steering Committee presents panel discussion with some of our sister organizations moderated by Lucas Cruz of the Chicano Park Steering Committee and CJ OL from Unión del Barrio. Panelists include Joanie Lopez representing Unión del Barrio, Joseph Rivera  the chairman of the National Brown Berets de Aztlan San Diego, Itza Vilaboy the Chairwoman of LIBROS, Amelia Enrique the Board President of the Centro Cultural de La Raza,  and Roberto D. Hernandez. Treasurer of the Centro Cultural de La Raza."
