Artist Mario Torero created the 23rd anniversary poster for the Chicano Park celebration. A collage of several people, both old and young and dawning different clothing from the Chicano culture old and new. The poster also reads "Paz en los Barrios (Peace in the neighborhoods)," "Lucha for la Raza (Fight for La Raza)," and "We Are Not A Minority."

While not an anniversary event, this Union Tribune Article showcases one of the many cultural events that happened on a regular basis at Chicano Park, emphasizing the way the park is used to bridge traditional cultural and new generations of Chicano people.
