2.4 Translate feedback from peers and instructors into conscious action.
To put it simply, this course criteria means understanding feedback from peers and instructors and using it to improve my writing effectively. In writing Project 1, I received extensive feedback from my peers and instructors through the peer review assignment. After receiving feedback, I will summarize all the comments, carefully analyzed them, and recorded them in the cover memo as a guide for revision. Then, I will reread the paragraph mentioned in the feedback and made some necessary changes to my article. For instance, in writing Project 1, I received feedback that I should provide more information about the film that I talked about in my article. Then, I tried to brainstorm idea and add some important information to enrich my article. Overall, I met this course criteria because I can improve my article based on each feedback, which ultimately earned me an “A” in writing project 1, demonstrating my ability to revise effectively.
4.2: Make Language Choices that Create Coherence and Cohesion
This course criteria is known as using words or phrases to link each paragraph clearly and logically as a whole. In writing project 1, I can meet this course criteria. For instance, in the second paragraph, I shared some reasons for my love of reading novels. In the third paragraph, I used the sentence “Out of my love novels, I took a film literature course in high school and tried to learn more about the art of adapting novels into films." to link paragraph two and paragraph three, effectively transitioning my writing experience in high school, which enhanced my overall writing clarity and structure.
