Introduction

Throughout my high school career, I took many writing courses and learned a lot about writing book reviews and film scripts. After graduating from high school, I was able to develop complex and long sentences in English. These writing experiences helped me adapt to writing courses in college. However, in high school, I didn’t have much experience in writing and reading academic articles. These limitations became one of the challenges when I began taking college writing course. As a result, learning to read and write academic articles became one of my goals in taking UWP007M. For example, in this class, I learned how to analyze and cite academic articles. I think I was able to make progress toward my goal because I successfully wrote an academic article in writing project 3. Overall, this course matches my expectations and I learned a lot of new writing skills in this course. However, the workload for this class is different from that of my high school writing class. I have lots of assignments each week. In the beginning, I got really stressed out with these assignments and was not be able to submit homework on time. Then, I tried to adjust myself, for instance, making a schedule to manage my time and not spending too much time on one assignment. (217Words)
