Triathlon 2024, despite being a moderator, I still ensured to greet my homeroom students & congratulate them on their race.
As a teacher, I view professional development as essential to my growth and effectiveness in the classroom. Engaging in continuous learning and skill development not only enhances my teaching practice but also allows me to stay updated with new methodologies and educational trends. I am actively involved in various school activities, serving as the moderator of both the Writing Club and the Peer Helpers program, where I mentor students in writing, personal development, and peer support. Additionally, I am a member of the sports committee, where I support student engagement in athletic programs, helping to foster teamwork and school spirit.

Regarding professional development, I have benefited greatly from the variety of summer workshops hosted by St. Catherine Academy (SCA). These workshops have provided valuable training in instructional strategies, classroom management, and curriculum development. Moreover, SCA offers ongoing professional formation sessions, including weekly catechism reformation meetings every Wednesday, which deepen my understanding of faith-based education and reinforce the values I aim to impart to my students. Through these experiences, I am constantly improving both my professional skills and my role as a mentor and guide for my students.
These workshops have been ongoing for a year, with teachers participating in a one-hour training session every Wednesday. Above are examples of some discussion topics covered during these sessions. This initiative supports my professional development by integrating faith-based learning and fostering growth in areas such as leadership, discipline, femininity, and religion, aligning with the core values that drive my teaching philosophy.
