The facility is located 40 km southwest of Edmonton within the Devon Research Centre at One Oil Patch Drive, Devon, Alberta, T9G 1A8, adjacent to the Canada Centre for Mineral and Energy Technology (CANMET) Western Research Centre.
The OSTRF is situated on Treaty 6 territory, traditional lands of First Nations and MĂ©tis peoples.
