This circular matrix, inspired by the Medicine Wheel, represents our collaborative process. At the "start" of the cycle, to the east, in yellow, is the initial phase of relation building between academic, Métis and school communities. To the south, in red, is the phase where Elders are given the opportunity to reclaim their language by recalling and practising it within the frame of this project, also a phase where the educational community strives to make a place for Métis knowledge and culture in their professional practices. To the west, in black, is the moment when linguistic and pedagogical resources are created, when the project is enhanced to reach maturity. To the north, in white, is the classroom experience phase where all of the elements are in place. This circular diagram highlights the cohesiveness, continuity and sustainability of the process followed in our approach.
