Heartfelt Hobbies
Heartfelt Hobbies is our group's innovative prototype, created to tackle the well-known challenge of loneliness amongst seniors. Heartfelt Hobbies is a monthly subscription box, free of charge, curated for seniors in care facilities, seniors who live alone, or any other senior that experiences their own kind of isolation.
The monthly subscription box includes all of the supplies needed to partake in several activities for each month. Seniors have the choice to share their knowledge and teach their peers the given activity or simply just participate in them- whether that be in person, through a provided live stream, or watching the recording of the live stream in the future. We aim to provide accessibility to as many seniors as possible and have taken into considerations many of the barriers that seniors face to combat loneliness.
The goal of our innovative solution is to reinstate a sense of purpose for those within the senior population who experience loneliness and isolation to a significant degree. We hope through offering an avenue to learn, teach, and practice hobbies, we can make a difference in the lives of these seniors.
