Dr. Shailesh S. Sable
Postdoctoral Research Fellow- Dr. Gamal El-Din's Research Group
I am carrying out research in Dr. Gamal El-Din's Research Group at Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Alberta.
Previously I was working as postdoctoral researcher in Graduate Institute of Environmental Engineering at National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. I have received postdoctoral research fellowship (2016-2018) from Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).
Also I have received doctoral (PhD) grant (2011-2013) from Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation in Chemical, Environmental and Process Engineering at University of Rovira i Virgili (URV), Spain.
Previously I worked as a research assistant (2008-2010) at National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune (MH), India in Chemical Engineering and Process Development division on different projects sponsored by National and International companies.
I have received Master degree (2007) in Chemistry from Shivaji Science College, (Sant Gadge Baba, Amravati University), Amravati (MH), India.
Research Interest
Interdisciplinary area of chemistry particularly, Environmental and Chemical Engineering, Development of heterogeneous catalysts for innovative water and wastewater technologies, Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs), Catalytic ozonation and Heterogeneous Fenton-like processes, in-situ generation of H2O2 in Fenton-like processes, Photochemical and elctrochemical processes, Remediation of emerging micropollutants and PFAS compounds in water, Photocatalytic and combined AOPs for water and wastewater treatment.
