This was a busy year of collaboration. We are so grateful for all the support from across campus and the greater Edmonton community! Sending out HUGE thank yous to the following:
The biggest thank you ever to Jill Horbay and the rest of the staff from University of Alberta Museums for helping to organize all the fun – thank you!
There are so many amazing museums and library collections on campus and we are grateful to the incredible curators and thinkers that toured us through some of the best collections in North America! If you haven’t started checking them out, we would encourage you to set aside time to visit some of the 30 registered museums and 7 libraries right here on campus.
Off-campus we paired up with the City of Edmonton to offer a new course located in the Dunluce neighbourhood. This was a morning class that intentionally considered accessibility needs of parents with school-aged children. We are so grateful for the support of Katie MacDonald who supported the curriculum creation and facilitation. Thank you Katie!
This past year we did a few new things. On-campus we teamed up with University of Alberta Museums so Tuesday evenings were spent going around campus touring the many awesome museums and libraries across campus. We were treated so well and are so grateful for the generous support of the many curators and enthusiasts – even getting some behind the scenes tours (thank you Jeremy Rossiter and team).
Off-campus we held our first ever course in collaboration with the City of Edmonton. We used to always have an open Humanities 101 course off-campus, that’s where we started, and it felt great getting back into the community!
