Sign-up for the Nikon AX R Confocal Microscope located in the Confocal Microscopy Facility in the Kraemer Lab (SST 339).
The faculty member managing this equipment is Dr. Bradley R. Kraemer (Associate Professor, Biological Sciences, bradley.kraemer@uah.edu, office: SST 369P).
Instrument Use Policy
New User Access
Individuals who seek to begin using a microscope system must participate in at least two basic training sessions (each ~ 2 hours) before accessing the instrument.
Please contact Kayla Gomez at kag0023@uah.edu to set up a basic training session. Advanced training sessions are also offered by Dr. Bradley Kraemer (bradley.kraemer@uah.edu)

Beyond reserving the instrument online, please be sure to fill and sign the paper sign-in sheet when you begin and end your session.
We kindly request that microscope reservations please be limited to 2 hours per reservation unless you are booking within 24 hours. After-hours reservations (between 5PM - 9AM, are not limited).
Only use the provided immersion oil and lens paper.
Please ensure that the door is locked when you leave the room.
All samples other than slides with a fixed 0.17mm coverslip must get authorization before imaging.
Piezo use requires prior authorization
