Before scanning code, the user must make sure they have a smartphone device with a camera that has scanning capabilities or at least an application installed that can scan QR codes.
Point the camera to the QR code located on the trail underpasses or along other points in the trail. Open the link that appears when the device successfully scans the code. If it does not work at first, move further or closer to the code for the phone to successfully scan.
Use the links to learn more about the Friends of the Green Bay Trail and also to learn about different plants around the trail.
While walking along the GBT, look at the links from the QR code that open to resources that show native species of the areas and facts about them. Try to identify each species seen in the links.
