Goal: Start testing with the physical circuit and in Fusion360. Wrap up any online tests
Allison: Learn how to manufacture and physically build a PCB on the CNC machines at school.
Samantha: Finish the testing documents and test the circuit with Claire
Claire: See signals, even if it is just one, with the oscilloscope.
Team accomplishment:
Samantha: Finished majority of the testing document (Claire needs to finish the MATLAB portion), and started pretest checks with the breadboard.
Allison: Learning how to use the CNC machine for making PCB engravings on copper plating.
Claire: Found Arduino Hardware Explorer, and tried to create a coordinate system between the Simulink, MATLAB script, and Arduino to send signals.
Lead: Allison w/ Dummy PCB
Progress:
Trouble shooting and learning how to use the CNC machine for the PCB
Finding proper drill bits to fulfill the group's needs.
Plan for next week:
Learn how to fully operate the CNC machine (in full depth), and potentially start to work with the GERBER files.
Lead: Claire in Simulink (toolbox of MATLAB) & Arduino IDE
Findings / Progress:
Arduino Explorer Hardware enables the group to observe and watch the values from MATLAB in real time. Explored the capabilities and ways to connect the Simulink model data generator to this hardware.
Plan for next week:
Connect the Arduino Hardware to simulink.
Start the second phase of the code
Test the circuit with the basic values
Lead: Samantha for documentation and operation | Claire for overall design and goals
Goal: See signals (just one for this week) on the oscilloscope
Findings / Progress:
More time was taken into developing the testing document. All that is left is to do is to reformat it and add a section for testing with MATLAB.
Pre-testing was started and 3 testing sections have been created so far.
Plan for next week:
Reformat Testing Document
Add a section for Testing using MATLAB
create more testing sections
Start testing with the oscilloscope
