At the beginning, everyone came in with different ideas about how the kart should look, how it should be powered, and how the driver should sit. By putting our thoughts onto paper through sketches, we were able to compare these ideas visually instead of just imagining them. Each member contributed designs that showed different frame shapes, wheel placements, steering systems, and motor locations. This helped us quickly see which ideas were practical and which ones would be difficult to build or unsafe. When we shared our sketches, we discussed what we liked about each design and combined the strongest features into one final concept. For example, one person suggested a compact frame for stability, while another proposed a wider wheelbase for balance, and we merged those ideas into our final sketch. The concept drawing became a reference that kept our group on the same page throughout the project. Overall, sketching and idea sharing helped us move from scattered thoughts to a clear, organized design that we could confidently move forward with. 

Making a wooden model of our go-kart was one of the most important steps in conceptualizing our final design because it allowed us to turn abstract ideas into something physical and testable. After brainstorming different layouts, frame shapes, and power systems, we built a small-scale prototype using wood and cardboard to represent the real structure. This model helped us visualize how all the components—such as the wheels, axles, gears, and motor—would fit together and interact. We used a drill as a temporary motor and RC car wheels to simulate motion, which allowed us to see how torque, stability, and alignment would affect performance. By physically assembling the frame, we were able to identify problems that would have been difficult to notice on paper, such as uneven weight distribution, limited steering space, and weak connection points. The wooden prototype also helped us compare multiple design ideas and decide which layout was the most practical and efficient. Overall, building the model gave us a clearer understanding of how our full-scale go-kart should be constructed, making it a crucial step in refining our concept and ensuring that the final project would be safe, functional, and realistic to build.
