Hawk Hollow AVID Students Explore NIU STEM Fest!

This past weekend, our Hawk Hollow AVID students had the exciting opportunity to attend Northern Illinois University’s STEM Fest. The event showcased hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, and real-world applications of science, technology, engineering, and math.

Students explored everything from robotics and coding to engineering design challenges and scientific experiments. They engaged with college students, professors, and industry professionals who shared their passion for innovation and problem-solving.

STEM Fest gave our AVID students a chance to see how their learning connects to future careers and higher education opportunities—while also inspiring them to stay curious, ask questions, and dream big about what’s possible!

We are proud of our students for representing Hawk Hollow and AVID with enthusiasm and curiosity at this exciting event.
