Week: February 9th-13th
Anuj is working on the AI code still focusing on the different emotions and is starting to prompt engineer the AI. While Slok is working on the 3D model. Anjali is working on the research for the basics of python coding through a coding game.
Today we assembled the first prototype of the transforming wheel that we designed. It was assebled using hot glue because the assebly is temporry and only exists for testing purposes. We may reuse the parts used inside this wheel for something else in the future.
Today we tested the prototype wheel to see if it worked or would fall apart. It expanded on its own due to centripital force and the geared linkages spread out more than we were expecting them too. We know now what modifications must be made if we are to put this type of wheel into production for use in our project.
Today, we were assebling the spine of the robot and we realize that one of the screws did not fit into the hole in the gear that we 3D printed. Because of this, Slok had to edit the model of the gear and make the screw holes bigger. Hopefully these modifications work and we are able to assemble the spine mechanism.
Today, Anuj mainly focused on adding more emotions to AURA
Next week we plan to improve our engineering notebook management and also still continue with the code. We plan to start integrateing the servos code into the bahavior aspect of the AI. We also plan to start learning about the python coding for Anjali.
