TSIA2 Math and English Exams (approximately 1.5-3 hours per exam)
TSIA stands for the Texas Success Initiative Assessment. The TSIA (Accuplacer) is an assessment designed to determine if a student is ready for college-level course work in the general areas of reading, writing and math. All Lone Star Virtual Academy GR 8 - 12 are required to take the TSIA while enrolled with LSVA. If a student is entering a college in Texas, they are required to take the TSIA (Accuplacer) —unless they are already exempt based on an SAT/ACT score—to determine their readiness for college level work. Based on how students perform, they may either be enrolled in a college-level course that matches their skill level and/or be placed in the a developmental course to improve their skills and prepare them for success.
Things to note:
TSIA2 exams are FREE for students to take-retakes included
Students may take these exams from home with an online proctor (provided through the testing voucher)
