College Readiness:
College Entrance Testing: Most colleges in Texas have removed their testing requirement for applicants, meaning you do not need to take an ACT/SAT to apply to college. However, students who choose to take these exams will benefit from a speedier application decision process, and may be excused from taking the university's specific entrance tests. You may also be excused from taking remedial Math and English, and can start your freshman year with all college courses. Please view the following documents if you have any interest in taking these exams:

Military Readiness:
Interested in military service? We have some resources for you! Enlistment into the armed forces looks a little bit different than enrolling into a college or trade school, and we have provided some basic instructions and resources below to guide students through the enlistment process.
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB Exam)
Before a student can enlist into the armed forces, they must first take an ASVAB exam. The ASVAB measures student's strengths and skills in different subject areas, and can be used to help determine which career in the military would suit the new recruit best. For student's not interested in military service, an ASVAB exam can help reveal what career fields a student might excel in as they prepare for life after graduation.
Things to know:
Students will take the ASVAB at their local Military Entrance Processing Station or MEPS
Students will take this exam in person
This exam does not guarantee automatic entrance into the armed forces, nor are students required to enlist once the exam is completed
