GUHS ELD Department

The English Language Development (ELD) department serves the nearly 1/3 of Grant Union High School's student body, who are learning English as a second language.  Our progression of ELD  classes serves the primary function of increasing students’ English language skills in the areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. We administer the annual ELPAC Test to determine students' growth in these four domains of language, with the ultimate goal to be reclassification.
