INNOVATION - INGENUITY - CREATIVITY
PROBLEM SOLVING - COLLABORATION
The Tuxedo STEM Academies have worked to develop integrated schools that will highlight components of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and actively engage students in project-based, collaborative learning environments that incorporate and promote the use of higher level thinking, digital technologies and content-driven problem solving skills to develop critical thinking within all other academic classes.
Our program is designed to incorporate the methodology and ideology of an integrative STEM education . These practices will engage students as they experience design challenges and project-based activities that teach skills from science, technology, engineering and mathematics that have practical application and real world connections.
STEM education is an approach to teaching and learning that integrates the content and skills of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics into all content areas. STEM standards of Practice guide instruction by defining the combination of behaviors, integrated with STEM skills, which are expected of a proficient STEM student.
