Physical Science at BHHS is a Next Generation Science Standards-based course designed to provide each student with a strong science education, develop the skills necessary to evaluate and understand real phenomena that affect matter and energy around us, and prepare students for the 21st Century and the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (taken 11th grade).
There are four goals for you this year:
Goal 1
I will develop my use of Science and Engineering Practices to understand and solve specific phenomena and apply that learning to different phenomena.
Goal 2
I will strengthen my understanding of the Core Ideas in Physical/Earth/Space Science.
Goal 3
I can make connections between all domains of learning and science using Cross Cutting Concepts.
Goal 4
I can make goals, reflect on my progress toward meeting the standards, persevere when tasks become challenging, seek help when needed, and be a productive member of our classroom community.
