Meet me at Barnes & Noble (41st & Yale) to enjoy Starbucks and look through art books and magazines. Fun discussions of fine art, craft as art, photography, ceramics, sculpture, graphic design – we’ll follow our interests wherever they take us. Bring your sketchbook to jot down ideas.
First Fridays at Brady Arts
Take a picture of yourself at the TAC Gallery or with Mr. Tomlin! Must show me your picture on the following Monday to receive extra credit.
On the First Friday of every month, the historic Brady Arts District in downtown Tulsa hosts an eclectic FREE event that offers a vibrant sense of the arts.
Many exciting endeavors are currently under way:
· The Mathews Warehouse is home to Philbrook Museum, The University of Tulsa, 108 | Contemporary and the Woody Guthrie Archives.
· The Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa’s new visual art center, located directly south of the Mathews Warehouse, opened in early 2013.
· The Tulsa Artist Coalition Gallery and Living Arts of Tulsa host gallery shows and events.
· The Tulsa Glassblowing School offers both classes and First Friday glassblowing events with visiting glass blowers from around the country.
· Guthrie Green features gardens, a covered pavilion, stage and canopy, fountains and Lucky’s on the Green serving as another gathering spot with free concerts.
· Don’t forget to stop by Glacier Chocolatier for handmade candies that are a work of art.
· RIDE THE FREE TROLLEY!!
On Friday and Saturday from 5pm – 2am, Brady Arts offers a complimentary trolley to connect The Brady Arts District, Blue Dome, DECO District and the BOK Center. Relax and enjoy the ride!

Second Saturdays at Philbrook Museum of Art

Enjoy free Museum admission and family friendly, hands-on art-making projects on the second Saturday of each month.
Bring out the inner artist in each member of the family and experience Philbrook in a whole new way with free family-friendly art activities, tours and scavenger hunts for kids of all ages. View the latest touring show, see the permanent collection and enjoy the beautiful gardens.

It's an afternoon of museum fun with open art stations. Families will visit three different art making stations in and around the museum and create to their hearts' content. Each station will offer different materials and themes as well as teaching artists to help guide and inspire. Visitors are welcome to come and go from the open art stations as they experience the different galleries and interactive spaces in the museum and gardens.
