Vision: Tulsa Public Schools empowers all multilingual learners to be successful in rigorous coursework and enriched academic opportunities that motivate and engage them toward success in college, careers, and life.

Mission: Tulsa Public Schools provides opportunities, structures, and supports for all multilingual learners and their families to be fully engaged in the educational process. Tulsa Public Schools values and leverages their linguistic and cultural assets to better prepare them for success in college, careers, and life.


Tulsa Way for Multilingual Learner Instruction

The goal of Tulsa Public Schools’ Language Development Approach is to provide Multilingual Learners with challenging, personalized, high- quality, rigorous, grade-level standards-based instruction that engages, empowers, and inspires learning every day. Such grade-level standards- based instruction is coherent PK-12 and anchored in Tulsa Public Schools’ Vision for Multilingual Learners and the Tulsa Way for Multilingual Learner Instruction.


Every Child Succeeds

In Tulsa Public Schools, we have students who speak one or more of 70 languages. Multilingual learners make up more than 36% of our enrolled students.
