If your child has a dismissal change, please email yrondon@tufsd.org, esmith@tufsd.org and your child's teacher. Please try to make changes as early as possible so that we can accommodate your requests.
Please be sure to notify Nurse Lisa lgiannalone@tufsd.org of any medical concerns or changes in your child's health profile . She will notify the necessary staff.
General Health: Children should be in good health and ready to participate in school activities when sent to school.
Fever:
Children must be fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications before returning to school. A fever is defined as a temperature of 100.3°F or higher.
Vomiting:
Children must be free from vomiting for at least 24 hours before returning to school.
Medications:
Any medications including inhalers must be brought into the nurse's office by the parent.
Injuries and Physical Activity:
If a child is wearing a cast, brace, or has any other injury that could affect their participation in physical activities, a doctor's note is required. This note should specify the child's ability to participate in Physical Education (P.E.), recess, and any other school activities.
Sick Children at School:
If a child becomes ill while at school, they must be picked up promptly. This is crucial to prevent the spread of illness and to ensure the child receives appropriate care.
