Welcome to 4th grade! My name is Mrs. Taylor Butcher. This is my nineth year teaching at Mayflower Mill! Teaching at Mayflower is very special to me because I went to Mayflower as a student. I went on to Wea Ridge Middle and McCutcheon High School. At McCutcheon, I played soccer which led me to Hanover College as the goalkeeper. At Hanover, I met my wife, Ale (pronounced Allie). She is the Community in Schools teacher at Amelia Earhart. In January of 2021, we welcomed our first baby to the world, and in January 2022, we met our second! We also have one dog and two cats, so it is a full house! When I am not at school, I like to coach the goalkeepers at McCutcheon, and I like to go on walks to the Igloo or find a good cup of coffee.

I am so grateful to work at such an amazing school. This is where my love for education began.  I am so excited to pass on this passion to my students. My goal this year is to foster a love of learning and help students gain confidence as they grow. In an ever changing world, I want to help build curiosity and problem solving in each student to help them see and reach their full potential. As my students learn more about themselves, I will push them to see the importance of kindness and the beauty of differences by challenging them to see the strengths of others.

I truly cannot wait to meet all of my new students!

It is sure to be a great year!
