Chromebook Rules

Parents,

In Room 20, each student will be issued a Google Chromebook with accompanying Google Programs, Apps, and internet access. Students will be expected to follow TSC’s DO THE RIGHT THING and TREAT PEOPLE RIGHT philosophy as a user of this technology. Students will be given instructions for the care of the Chromebook, expectations for use, and the responsibilities of digital citizenship when using the Google Chromebook online resources. This exciting tool in the classroom comes with high expectations! In order to use a Google Chromebook in Room 17, students and parent should discuss and then sign the following contract.

I will be RESPECTFUL, including:

I will be respectful when collaborating and communicating with others using my Chromebook.
I will only collaborate or communicate with those students and adults I have been given permission to interact with using my Chromebook.
I will not share my personal information/photo or the information/photo of anyone else when using my Chromebook.

I will be RESPONSIBLE, including:

I will take care of my Chromebook following the instructions posted in the classroom.

I will have INTEGRITY, including:

I will use my Chromebook as instructed for use at school, and avoid doing things or finding things that are not appropriate for learning at school.
I will follow the instructions posted in the classroom and report any inappropriate communication or content that occurs on my Chromebook.
I will use my Chromebook as a TOOL not a TOY, even when I could get away with it.

In addition, I will use my Chromebook with the understanding that it is a privilege available to me so I can improve my creativity, communication, collaboration and critical thinking skills. I understand if I do not use my Chromebook in ways that match DO THE RIGHT THING and TREAT PEOPLE RIGHT there will be consequences.
