About 5th Grade

Field Trips

In 5th grade we go on several study trips. One trip is to Indianapolis where we will visit Top Golf, Rascals Fun Zone, and watch an Indianapolis Indians game. Another field trip will be to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame and the Indiana State Museum. Our last field trip will be to SIA and Texas Roadhouses.

Birthdays

I encourage all parents to send in birthday treats for the class on your child's birthday or half birthday. They can be brought in with your child or dropped off in the office. All treats should be store bought . They also need to be individually wrapped and prepackaged. Some great treats are: cupcakes, cookies, candy, brownies, or anything individually wrapped. Please send enough treats for each child. Please also send in napkins or plates. Please be conscientious of any allergies that our class may have.

Friday Folder

One way that all parents will be able to help is to look for the Friday folder every week. In the Friday folder you will find important information from the school and me. You will also find graded papers and school information. Please check your email often as I like to send out notices, weekly letters, and reminders.

Communication

I use the TSC Communication App keep parents updated. There I will post the latest classroom newsletters, important reminders, project information, and notices. I also post pictures and videos of what is happening in the classroom.

Water Bottles

Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school. They should bring their water bottles filled and ready to go. They will keep the water bottles at their seat. Please clearly label your child's water bottle.
