Meet the Teacher

The Basics

Hi! My Name is Mrs. Sara Wright! I will be your child’s 5th grade teacher for the 2025-2026  school year! I am married. I married Eric Wright on Valentine’s Day in 2004, and we now have two sons. Owen is 19  and will be a sophomore at Wabash College. Levi is 15 and will be a  sophomore in high school. Our family has 5 cats. My oldest son has a Conure bird, a Crested Gecko, and a Hognose snake. This will be my 22nd  year teaching, and I am excited to make this my best year yet!

My Childhood

I grew up on a farm near Noblesville, Indiana where I attended Hamilton Heights School Corporation from kindergarten through 12th grade. As a child I played volleyball, basketball, softball, and soccer. I was also a ten year 4-H member, and played the flute and piccolo in the band. My mom is a retired  neonatal nurse and my dad is a retired Ag teacher. I have an older brother and sister.

My Education

In May of 2003, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education form Purdue University. In August of 2009, I earned my Master’s degree in education from Indiana Wesleyan.
