Technology

Computer Information

There are many apps/websites that your child will be using throughout the year.  It is my goal to have my students be familiar and comfortable with the different technologies we have available through TSC.  Please use this as a reference. These are all found on the TSC Tech. Links (go to https://www.tsc.k12.in.us/ then go to the Students tab at the top and scroll down for TSC Tech. Links on the right side) or on Clever.

Google Classroom

This is on the home screen for Chromebooks and under GClassroom on the TSC Tech. Links page. It is used for day-to-day assignments.  Work will be posted to Google Classroom to be accessed at home and/or at school.   Work will be turned in through Google Classroom.

GMail

This is on the home screen for Chromebooks and under GMail on the TSC Tech. Links page. It is the email program we use. Their email address is their TSC username with @tscstudents.net added to the end.

Class Dojo

Class Dojo is an app/website.  I use Class Dojo for my behavior management system.  This is also a great way to see what is happening in our classroom and send me messages.

Clever

Clever is a platform that TSC uses to streamline the login process.  Teachers are able to add apps to their Clever page so students can avoid logging in multiple times. You can use their TSC username/password.

IXL

Log in through Clever.  Activities are linked directly to grade level standards.  Students will be assigned an activity that goes along with the lesson taught.  Can work above/below grade level.

I-Ready

Log in through Clever.  This app coincides with our math series.  Students will be assigned lessons.  They may move onto the next activity as well.  Students can earn coins to play games, change their avatar, etc.

Prodigy

Prodigy is a free, adaptive math game that integrates common-core math (grades 1-8) into a fantasy style game that students love playing.  See your list of passwords provided by your teacher.

Xtra Math

XtraMath is an online math fact fluency program that helps students increase their basic math facts recall and automaticity. XtraMath helps students master the basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts that are the building blocks for mathematics.  See your list of passwords provided by your teacher.

Brainpop

Log in through Clever.  This website provides videos and activities for many different subjects.

Raz-Kids

Log in through Clever.  With this reading application, teachers can assign leveled books for their students.  There are activities to go along with the books that are read.

Accelerated Reader

Log in through Clever.  Students are allowed to take tests on leveled books to earn points.  AR is a wonderful way to assess comprehension and motivate readers.

Into Reading

Ed Your Friend

Log in through Clever.  This app goes along with our reading series.  Students will be able to access reading stories, leveled readers, workbook pages, and assessments.

Reading Eggs

Log in through Clever.  This app is a supplement to our reading curriculum.  Students have an avatar that travels through lessons.  After the last map, students are moved to Reading Eggspress.  Students can earn eggs to play games, design homes, etc.
