We have both Science and Social Studies Materials for each of the students. For Science, the students have four Unit Workbooks and for Social Studies we have nine booklets with topics based on the current Social Studies Standards for 2nd grade. In additional we also have a subscription for the monthly Scholastic News Magazine and Mystery Science. All of these materials are used at different times of the school year. We have 30 minutes dedicated to these subjects each day, which is not a lot of time, so I do my best to integrate Science, Social Studies, and Health into my Reading Instruction as much as possible.Â
