Grading Policy

MATH:  Grades will be based on lesson quizzes, summative assessments, and Daily Math Review quizzes.

READING and LITERATURE:  As part of our 90 Minute Reading block, grades will be based on written responses, comprehension quizzes/tests, vocabulary assignments, and other reading related projects. 

LANGUAGE ARTS:  Grades will be based on Daily Language Review quizzes, grammar sheets, 1-2 written pieces per grading period, entries in the Writer’s Notebook, and biweekly participation points during the writing block.

SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES:  Grades will be based on daily assignments, labs, worksheets, quizzes, special projects and tests.

•Not all written work will be assigned for a grade.  These papers will be marked with a "√+", "√", or "√-".  

•Late work may receive a reduced score.  

•Semester grades are averaged from the nine week grading periods.

•The TSC grading scale is as follows:

    100%       A+ 88-89%    B+ 78-79%    C+ 68-69%    D+

94-99%    A 84-87%    B 74-77%    C 64-67%    D

90-93%    A- 80-83%    B- 70-73%    C- 60-63%    D-
