Grading Policies

Final grades will be based on the percentage of points earned.

• A's: 100-90

• B's: 89-80

• C's: 79-70

• D's: 69-60

• F's: 59 and below

All grades in PowerSchool will reflect completion and student reflection on their learning. Assignments and assessments will be returned to students with feedback only. Parents are able to review feedback on Google Classroom and on paper assignments that are sent home. Please review feedback with your child and celebrate successes and areas for growth! Homework Policies

Students should be reading on average 20 minutes per night and practice spelling and vocabulary as needed.

Students may not have regularly scheduled assignments. Students will be expected to complete a variety of tasks for reading, writing, math, and science or social studies during independent work time at school and anything that is not finished will be expected to be completed for homework. There may also be additional homework assignments that are not assigned during independent work time relating to our theme units.

Students are expected to follow these rules anytime they are on school property. Daily behavior, both positives and needed corrections, will be tracked on the teacher's clipboard. Parents will be contacted if more than 2 corrections are needed in a day.
