It is important to teach our children not just the answers, but give them the tools they need to find the answers and guide them with the proper resources that will help them become independent lifelong learners.
While the Boone and Lincoln Library believes in "intellectual freedom" and freedom of choice in libraries, we also believe part of our responsibility is guiding student choice and ensuring that each child has a "just right" book- a book at his/her reading level that is not too easy, or too hard. This is how we grow readers- encouragement without frustration. We will always encourage each student to have at least one just right book.
