About the Counseling Department

Hello! My name is Mrs. Miller and I obtained my Master of Education in Counseling with a specialization in School Counseling from Ohio University in April of 2022. I believe that the Professional School Counselor is here to help students manage their academic goals, support the social/emotional wellbeing of students, and help identify some post graduation plans for my students regardless of whether or not they stay in Southeastern Ohio. I work with students one on one, but may need to refer out to a Clinical Mental Health Counselor for long term support. I'm here to assist with the planning the track of high school and beyond, explaining the graduation process, as well as to be a support system for anything unexpected (or expected) that impacts students and their families who don't know where else to turn to.

I will always be your bridge. If I can't help you get to where you need to go, I'll find someone who can.

The vision of Trimble High School's counseling department is to meet the needs of students so that all students will have an equal opportunity to graduate and enroll in a post-secondary option, enlist in the military, or be employed in the setting of their choice while maintaining the individuality and uniqueness of each student.

The mission of Trimble High School's counseling department is to be a supporting force in the community by providing a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate school counseling program that addresses and meets the needs of all students.
