Sample Professional Development Goals you could use:

A professional learning statement related to TRECA's Guiding Compass (Great Purpose, Mission, Values, DNA):

• I will pursue learning opportunities that will help me build relationships with other TRECA employees and our families to increase my ability to support our community.

• I will improve my professional skills related to communication in order to work effectively with parents and colleagues.

• To better “Empower People”, I will complete professional learning opportunities that focus on team-building skills so that I can better support and encourage people I supervise

A professional learning goal related to increasing your knowledge about your license area(s) and/or educational theory and practice:

• I will attend conferences and/or webinars that focus on applying traditional pedagogy to the online classroom and the support of online learners.

• I will seek professional development that includes research-based educational theory and teaching and learning strategies. I will seek knowledge in instruction, communication, and assessment, including seeking learning that focuses on my license area of Language Arts.
