At TRECA, all staff are required to complete professional development activities. Those employees who have a state license will use LPDC to renew their license. Those employees without a state license will submit activity verification regularly to demonstrate professional development activities necessary to meet (and exceed) their job requirements.
All staff at TRECA will be using Frontline for this purpose. Everyone will follow the same directions for the LPDC Process. At the top of this page, you will see links to the IPDP, Activity Submissions, and PD Examples, with some sub-topics (Sample IPDP Goals & PD Plan and Exit Hours). These have been revised so that they apply to all staff members at TRECA.
All current, full-time TRECA employees need to create a new IPDP. Part-time staff members are encouraged to complete an IPDP and PD, but you are not required to use the LPDC at TRECA. If you are a part-time teacher with a state license that needs to be renewed, you are welcome to use LPDC at TRECA for that renewal.
Your LPDC members: Kristina McLaughlin, Sarah Gilliam, Becky Swartz, Mindy Villines, Laura Search, Jackie Albert
The TRECA LPDC follows this plan, approved by the Board:

September 20, 2024: PublicSchoolWorks (PSW):
In the past, activities completed in PSW were not eligible to submit to LPDC as an activity because they were required for employment. Legislation was recently passed in Ohio allowing some activities that are required for employment in PSW to be approved by LPDC as part of your PD hours each year. Only certain PD activities that are completed in PSW can be counted as activities (as per our legal counsel).
Because of that, HR will enter the PSW time for each employee in Frontline. Staff who request required activities from PSW will have their submission denied. PSW time can only be entered by HR in Frontline.
PD such as child abuse, harassment/intimidation/bullying, suicide, and school safety training are PD in PSW that would count. As TRECA adds our own PD to PSW, those will also be entered by HR. For example, PBIS will eventually be completed in PSW. Once it is offered through PSW, the activity time will be automatically entered by HR.
