Your Next Step in Faith
Baptism is a beautiful and powerful declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ. It is an outward symbol of an inward transformation—a public testimony that you have chosen to follow Jesus and live for Him.
When you are baptized, you are identifying with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. You are saying, “My old life is gone, and I am now alive in Christ.”
“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” — Romans 6:4
Baptism is an act of obedience and faith. Jesus Himself was baptized, and He commands His followers to be baptized as well.
✅ It follows Jesus’ example – “At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.” — Mark 1:9
✅ It is a step of obedience – “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.” — Acts 2:38
✅ It symbolizes your new life – “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
Baptism doesn’t save you—Jesus does. But it is a powerful way to show the world that you belong to Him.
If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, baptism is your next step. It’s a way of publicly declaring your faith and commitment to Christ.
If you were baptized as an infant or before making a personal decision to follow Jesus, you may choose to be baptized again as a personal declaration of your faith.
Baptism at BCChurch is done by full immersion in water, following the example we see in the Bible. This represents being buried with Christ in His death and rising again to new life.
Here’s what happens:
1️⃣ You’ll briefly share your decision to follow Jesus.
2️⃣ One of our pastors will baptize you by lowering you into the water and lifting you back up.
3️⃣ We’ll celebrate with you as you take this important step in your faith journey! 🎉
