Day 1:

WORSHIP STARTS WITH WORTH, NOT EMOTION

Key Scripture:
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” Revelation 5:12 (NIV)

Reflection:

Heaven’s worship is not driven by mood or music—it’s a declaration of truth. Revelation 5 gives us a glimpse into heaven’s response to the finished work of Christ. The Lamb is worshiped not because He makes the angels feel better, but because of who He is and what He has done.

In our modern church culture, worship is often treated like spiritual therapy. We expect it to “lift us up” or “set the atmosphere.” While that may happen, it's not the purpose. If we base our worship on feelings, then on bad days, worship will stop. But when we anchor it in His worth, we worship regardless of our emotional state.

Worship rooted in worth keeps us steady when life is not.

Misconception:

“I need to feel something to truly worship.”
Truth: Worship is a declaration of who God is, not a response to how we feel.

Reflect:

Prayer:

Jesus, I confess that I’ve often tied my worship to my feelings. Help me see You as worthy—always. Teach me to worship from truth, not from emotion.

Challenge:

Start your quiet time today by saying:
“Jesus, You are worthy—because You were slain.”

Spend 5 minutes declaring who He is, without asking for anything.
