HOW TO FORMAT A POWER POINT PRESENTATION

  • The first slide is your title slide. Make sure it contains the same information you would include in your essay ( title, author's name, affiliation, course number, instructor name, date).

  • Include in-text citations for any quote, paraphrase, image, graph, table, data, audio or video file that you use within your presentation. CLIP ART FROM WORD/SLIDES DOES NOT NEED TO BE CITED! All the rules for a research paper apply to a powerpoint presentation when dealing with in-text citations.

  • The last slide will be your reference list. Format it the same way you would format an APA research paper.

  • Text size, word count, text style can differ from the APA rules we talked about as long as it is OK with your instructor.
