As a part of the new Louisiana Student Standards for Science, there will be a heavy integration of engineering into the Honors Physics class. Students are expected to work collaboratively (as much as possible) to complete a number of engineering, construction, and critical thinking activities. One of these is the culminating project--building a working roller coaster. Students will be given a due date and it will be strictly adhered to. Because this is a culminating project, it will be due the last full week of school. This simply does not allow for the project to be accepted late for any reason as it takes time for all groups to present their work and their peers will be assessed on how well they listen and ask questions.
