National Indigenous People’s Day

National Indigenous People's Day is celebrated each year on the second Monday in October. This year that is October 11. This holiday celebrates and honors Indigenous or Native American peoples. It celebrates their culture and history.

The Native Americans were the first people to inhabit the land. This day pays homage to our earliest people and their contributions to the Western world.
