Election Day

The first Tuesday after the first Monday in November is election day. It is set aside for the election of national leaders. Senators are voted on this day every six years. Members of the House of Representatives are elected every two years.

State and city elections are also held on Election Day. States work hard to get eligible voters registered to vote in the election. There is also a strong push to have all registered voters vote in all elections.
