Christmas

Christmas is celebrated each year on December 25th. It commemorates the birth of Jesus. The origins of Christmas are religious, but it is also celebrated as a secular holiday.


Many traditions are associated with Christmas. The most known is gift-giving. This represents the gifts that the Wisemen gave to Jesus. Another well-known tradition is decorating a Christmas tree. This has changed over the years with the addition of ornaments and tinsel. There are numerous other traditions that families celebrate each year.
