Any future changes surrounding COVID-19 will be posted to this website and/or via Mrs. Johnson. We know this can be a stressful and confusing time. WHAT TO DO BEFORE SCHOOL:
All students must have their temperature taken EVERYDAY and be FEVER FREE with NO SYMPTOMS whatsoever before coming to school ! See the attachment for symptoms of COVID-19. All students who are presenting with ONE or MORE symptoms on this list should STAY HOME ! Please call the school with your child's symptoms and report your child sick. Further guidance will be provided via telephone.
WHAT TO DO AT SCHOOL:
Follow these 4 simple Rules to keep yourself and others safe at school!
ALSO: Please make sure the school has at least 2 current phone numbers on file in the event your child develops a symptom at school and needs to go home. Thank you :)
WHAT TO IF YOUR CHILD IS SENT HOME FROM SCHOOL:
--24 HOUR DISMISSAL will be required for any student who is presenting with "1 LOW-RISK symptom". These students will be sent home. These students may only return to school 24 hours AFTER SYMPTOM RESOLUTION. They should not come to school the next day until the 24 hour window of being symptom-free has passed.
---ISOLATION A (10 days): will be required for students who present with "2 LOW-RISK symptoms" or "1 HIGH-RISK symptom".
---ISOLATION B (10 days): will be required for students who are confirmed with COVID-19.
---QUARANTINE AND ISOLATION A ( 14 days and 10 days): 14 days of quarantine will be required for students that are direct contacts of another person with COVID-19. An additional 10 days of isolation will be required if the student develops symptoms while in quarantine.
---QUARANTINE AND ISOLATION B (14days and 10 days): 14 days of quarantine will be required for students who are living with or taking care of a loved one who is confirmed with COVID-19. An additional 10 days of isolation will be required if the student (who is living with or taking care of the loved one) develops symptoms while in the quarantine.
KNOW THE TERMS:
*QUARANTINE: Students who have been placed into quarantine due to being a direct contact of a COVID-19 person or living with/caring for a COVID-19 loved one CAN NOT come back to school without meeting the minimum requirement 14 days. A negative COVID-19 test result and/or a doctor note will not shorten the length of the quarantine requirement. Must quarantine for 14 days without becoming sick before coming back to school.
*ISOLATION: Students who have been placed in isolation due to having "2 LOW-RISK symptoms" or "1 HIGH-RISK symptom" and NO known COVID-19 exposure may return to school without completing the isolation requirement ONLY if one of the following items are provided to the school:
--- Negative COVID-19 test result OR--- Doctor's note stating student is not contagious with COVID-19 and that symptoms are due to an alternate underlying condition.---Students who DO NOT have a Negative COVID-19 test result or who DO NOT have a DOCTOR'S NOTE meeting the requirement above MUST complete the isolation time of 10 days before returning to school.WHAT TO DO AT HOME IF YOU ARE SICK:
