The Graduate School of Global and Regional Studies has launched a double degree program with Curtin University in Australia. Students will study at Curtin University for a year while enrolled in our course and earn two master's degrees from Toyo and Curtin.

Master's thesis must be submitted only to Toyo University.
A maximum of 14 credits can be transferred.
The degree is awarded by Curtin University after Toyo University confirms that the student has completed the requirements for the master's degree and successfully passed the master's thesis.
Students will acquire in-depth knowledge of a specialized field of study and write a master's thesis based on that knowledge.
Obtaining an overseas graduate degree will make it more advantageous for you to work abroad.

IELTS(academic) Overall 6.5 or above, and 6.0 or above in each band.
Scores obtained within two years retroactive to the date of application are valid.
※If your score is slightly below the above criteria (e.g. 5.5 in each band), you may be eligible to enroll in the English Bridging Program (ELB). Scholarships will be provided by Curtin University in respect of the ELB (A$6800 for 2023).

Course of Global Innovation Studies
*This course requires students to take “Courses to be taken at Toyo University” and earn credits before studying abroad. Some courses are offered only in the spring semester, not every semester. Please check the syllabus, timetable, and curriculum to ensure that you do not miss any courses and take them systematically.
Course of Regional Development Studies
※Scholarships of the Top University types are only available for the "Master of Urban and Regional Planning" program.
※For those students who fall slightly short of the language requirement (0.5 points), there is an option to take a 10-week English program (online/face-to-face) and then enroll in the main course. Scholarships are available from Curtin University for the English program.

②July -: Declaration of intent to study abroad (email Curtin University and Graduate Academic Affairs)
③ - End of July: Deadline for each application to be submitted to the Graduate School Academic Affairs Division
④August 1st-3rd weeks: Interviews at the Graduate School.
⑤Early September: Submit application materials to Curtin University.
⑥Late September: Issuance of Admission Letter (eCoE/COE: electronic Confirmation of Enrolment)
⑦End of October : Visa application, insurance procedures, airline tickets, housing arrangements
⑧3rd week of February: to Australia
⑨4th week of February: Orientation begins
⑩End of December: End of study abroad
⑪ End of January: Submit application documents for credit approval to the Graduate School Academic Affairs Division.
⑫ End of February: Announcement of credit approval
1-B. If language requirements are not met by 0.5 points

②End of July: Re-take the language exam

④1st‐3rd week of August: Interview at the Graduate School
⑤ 1st week of September‐: Low submission of application documents to Curtin University
⑥3rd week of September: Issuance of Admission Letter (eCoE/COE: electronic Confirmation of Enrolment)
⑦1st week of October -: Visa application, insurance procedures, airline tickets, housing arrangements
⑧1st week of November: Travel to Australia for ELB course (10 weeks)
⑨End of January: ELB course final exam
⑩Early February: ELB course results announced
⑪4th week of February: Orientation and start of regular program
⑫End of December: End of study abroad
⑬End of January: Submit application for credit approval to the Graduate School Academic Affairs Division.
⑭End of February: Announcement of credit approval
2.After enrolling in the graduate school of Toyo University, please indicate your intention to apply to Curtin University after June.
