Opportunities to Contribute
A wide variety of remunerated and non-remunerated opportunities will be available for clinical faculty members to meet their required contribution hours and to move the TMU School of Medicine’s mission forward.
Postings for titled roles will be shared with all appointed part-time clinical faculty. Each posting will include details on both the remuneration and the time commitment associated with the role.
Community preceptors will be compensated at the standard rate set by the Ministry of Health. Opportunities to supervise medical learners will be available in both affiliated and non-affiliated hospitals and in community sites.

The following roles are currently available:
Titled roles for clinical faculty within residency include:
Program Director
Assistant Program Director
Clinical Faculty Director
Large Group Instructor
Case-Based or Small Group Learning Tutor
Project Supervisor
Simulation/Skills/Mock Oral Facilitator
Case Writer/Exam Writer
Opportunities to contribute to research through a titled role include:
Research Director
Research Lab Lead
Research Project Supervisor
Titled roles within clinical departments will include:
Department Heads
Deputy Department Heads
Division Directors
Clinical faculty members can also contribute to the School of Medicine through service. Examples of service contributions are outlined below. (Please note that this list is not exhaustive.)
Education service (educational activities outside of titled roles)
Peer review
Grant review
SRC activities (participating in SRC project, collaborating in SRC grant)
Sitting on a committee
Clinical faculty members at other universities supervising elective learners at sites not affiliated with TMU
