NOVEMBER
Stress negatively affects physical health by increasing the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and digestive issues, and it also harms mental health by contributing to anxiety, depression, and other disorders. Managing stress improves your overall quality of life, leading to a greater sense of peace, better relationships, improved focus and concentration, and a stronger ability to cope with life's challenges.
Don't forget to take some time during this stressful season to de-stress and take some time for yourself. In doing so, you will surely enjoy the holiday season even more!!
For the TISD MOVES CHALLENGE this November, we will tally total “No-Stress" activities reported by each campus's staff.
These activities can include at least 30 minutes of anything that calms your soul, such as yoga, meditation, walking, reading, or taking a relaxing bath. (Sleeping/napping does NOT count).
OR
Giving back to your community by volunteering at church, school, hospital, nursing home, or food bank.
You will earn one point for each 30 minutes you spend on a “No-Stress" activity.
The Campus/Department with the most points per total staff will earn a FREE breakfast from TISD Catering!!!
